The 10th Annual Fall Car Showdown at the Skagit County Fairgrounds was an automotive enthusiast’s dream come true. The turnout of vintage car registrations was simply astounding. Walking through rows of immaculately restored vehicles, it felt as though I had stepped into a museum of rolling art, each car a testament to timeless design and craftsmanship.
For me, this day was more than just about attending a car show—it was about capturing these beauties through the lens of my Fujifilm 50R, paired with the Mitakon. The combination of these tools was my driving force to finally venture out and photograph a vintage car show, something I’d longed to do for years. And what better occasion than the Fall Car Showdown?
As someone who’s always had a soft spot for old Fords, I was in Heaven. The number of classic models on display was truly remarkable. My personal dream car has always been a black on white 1967 Fastback, but seeing all the gleaming Ford beauties made me quickly forget my singular obsession. Each car was a marvel, and the variety was enough to satisfy any vintage car lover’s appetite.
Below, I’ve included some fine art photos of the standout cars that caught my eye. These photos offer just a glimpse of the incredible craftsmanship and style that filled the fairgrounds that day. You’ll also spot a couple of shots from the Darrington Horses and Horsepower Event, which I briefly visited before heading over to Skagit.
If you’re a fellow vintage car lover, or just someone looking for a fun and easy-going afternoon, make sure to mark your calendars for next year’s 11th Annual Fall Car Showdown. This event is set to take place in 2025 at the Skagit County Fairgrounds in Mt. Vernon, WA, and promises to be another can’t-miss event for car enthusiasts!
